Lha organized a two-week workshop in May 2008 regarding the excellent Joomla web programme for content management. Those present at the workshop were Lha and three other NGOs: the Khawakarpo Tibetan Culture Centre, www.khawakarpo.org the Multi Education Centre www.tibetmec.org and tibetpost www.thetibetpost.com or www.pressoftibet.org Lha is already using the Joomla web programme for its own website, and these other NGOs would also like to adopt Joomla. One of Joomla’s main benefits is the ability to easily and quickly manage website content.

One of Lha’s recent volunteers, Mateus from Brazil (a journalist and content manager at home), helped Lha to establish the Joomla programme for its website.

Currently, only four people in Dharamsala have completed training for Joomla and have the ability to access and update NGO websites themselves. LHA will try to organize more Joomla workshops for Tibetan refugees when experienced volunteers become available.
