On the 13th of July 2009 the Lha volunteer office welcomed the arrival of a university group from Taiwan.

Five students and their project coordinator from Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan have come to McLeod Ganj as part of their school program for three weeks to devote their time to teaching I.T to 30 Tibetan students here at Lha.

The students were taught how to use the internet (Google search), sending emails, blogging, introduction to Microsoft Word, typing and Power Point.

In todays age of technology it is just as important to possess the ability to communicate via computers as it is with pen and paper. No work place is free from modern technology and it is vital that Tibetans are given the opportunity to not only learn language but also to learn computer skills.
