came from Mexico to volunteer at Lha in McLeod Ganj during 2010 and 2011, helping them with their website. My experience was incredible. I met great friends from all over the world and got to know the Tibetan culture. But most importantly, I had the opportunity to help this amazing community to improve itself. One can easily see the value that Lha provides to the local community, the goodwill they generate and the great impact they have helping people. The personnel running Lha are wonderful, I feel very lucky to have met them and that I somehow found the opportunity to help. Finally, the volunteer community itself is amazing, very sweet, goodwilled people from all over the world who are more interested in making the world a better place than anything else. For anyone who wants to help volunteering with the Tibetan community in India, this is place. Your help will be appreciated and will have a positive impact.
