Volunteer Wanted

Lha Charitable Trust is looking for a volunteer Consulting English teacher and editor/ proofreader to begin September 2023.

Responsibilities include:

• teaching English at the intermediate and advanced level to adults, including the three month Intensive English class for Geshes
• providing teacher coaching to other English teachers at Lha
• proofreading (and editing, if needed) written materials in English for the public, for example, website text, correspondence and reports.

Requirements:

• Must be a native speaker of English (student preference)
• Previous teaching experience
• TEFL/TESOL certification
• Some previous proofreading and copy editing experience
• An understanding of basic Buddhist concepts and terminology
• Twelve month commitment preferred.
