Lha is a non-profit organization dependent on monetary contributions from philanthropic corporations and generous individuals. In India, even a little goes a long way, and a lot goes very far!

World AIDS day is observed in Dharamshala

On December 1, World AIDS Day was observed in Dharamshala at an event with the theme "Close the gap in HIV prevention and treatment".

The event was organised jointly by the Lha Charitable Trust and Kunphen Centre for Substance Dependence, with Delek Hospital, and started in the main square in Mcleod Ganj with a "welcome tea". On November 5, Lha Charitable Trust launched the website www.samdhongrinpoche.com and a Felicitation Volume in gratitude to His Eminence Professor Samdhong Rinpoche, as part of the celebration of Rinpoche's 75th birthday. Lha Charitable Trust was awarded the second position in the category "Best Practices of Social Media Usage" in the 3rd eNGO Challenge Award - Celebrating Digital Information Tools for Communities - South Asia, 2014.

On 27th October 2014, Lha installed its 16th Clean Water Project Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification system at Kham Kathok Tibetan Settlement, Satuan.

On 26th October 2014, Lha installed its 15th Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification system as a part of Clean Water Project at Central School for Tibetans Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
