Lha's ‪ Clean‬ Water Project at CTA

On the 21st August 2015, Lha Charitable Trust installed its 21st ‪water‬ filtration system as a part of the Clean Water Project at the staff dining hall of the ‪Central‬ Tibetan Administration (CTA), as a token of our gratitude and to improve the ‪‎health‬ of the authorities and the staff.

Cultural Exchange Groups

In the month of July, Lha hosted four student groups of Rustic Pathway, the American organisation which provides "meaningful student travel and services", organising volunteer and study programmes around the world.

Hans Deibel - A Friend to Tibet

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our long term supporter and friend Mr Hans Deibel, and would like to send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Mr Deibel was for over 16 years a board member of Tibetfreunde, a Tibet support organisation in Switzerland.

He has been associated with Lha for the past several years, and for the past 20 years he has worked withthe Central Tibetan Administration supporting the Tibetan exile community in the fields of education and health.



The Tibet Fund Supports the Lha Soup Kitchen

Lha Charitable Trust would like to acknowledge and thank the Tibet Fund for the sponsorship they have provided for the Lha soup kitchen.

Their support will enable us to run the Soup Kitchen for another three months, providing nutritious meal for around 50-60 Tibetans every day – people who would otherwise be unable to have access to a healthy diet and sufficient food, and who find it difficult to cater for themselves in India as it is, to them, a new and strange country.

Observance of National Hepatitis Day by Lha Charitable Trust

On 28th July, Lha Charitable Trust organized an awareness talk on Hepatitis for the adult students of the Lha language classes to observe the National Hepatitis Day, celebrated every year on the 28th of July.
