Lha organized its 5th Photography class from May 19th till the 23rd of June, 2010, for ten students. At first the class went well. We had three photography teachers working with the students.
But due to some personal reasons for some of the students, the class turned out to be small and we couldn’t host the end of class photography exhibition. We plan to exhibit the student’s shots with the next photography class which will start soon.
Our second group of cultural exchange students this year was from Tulane University in New Orleans. We had nine students and one professor, who came here on the 18th of June and stayed here till the 1st of July, 2010. As usual, one Tibetan student was matched with each student from Tulane. They became cultural learning partners and they were all very happy learning from each other. At the end of their stay, we had a farewell dinner with their cultural learning partners and it was a very fun event!
Lha organized the 11th massage course for two weeks, from the 21st of June till the 2nd of July, 2010. Ms. Michelle Paquette was the instructor. She is a professional and qualified instructor with more than seven years of experience and has taught basic massage therapy courses which include the background of massage, techniques of Shiatsu, oriental bodywork, and chair massage. At the end of the course, we distributed certificates to each of the students with the instructor’s approval. |
