Currently there are 1271 children and 137 staff.

filtered Water gopalpur school 5The water purification system is an RO+UV+ UF and TTS, and is considered one of the best systems available in the area. It will provide more than one hundred liters of safe drinking water per hour to the school children and the staff. The filtration system includes a stainless steel tank with holding capacity of five hundred litters of water.

filtered Water gopalpur school 6We hope that this water purification system will help to alleviate major waterborne illnesses that residents commonly suffer from in this region, especially during the monsoon season. We believe that this will contribute to maintaining a high level of general health among the students and the staff.

So far around 12,358 people have benefited from the ‪Lha‬ Clean Water Project and we will be installing more such systems in the future.

The Annual Report, written by Lha’s Director, Ngawang Rabgyal, sets out the aims of the organization, the year’s developments and the latest financial position. It also illustrates the diversity of the social programs provided, and the numbers of students and beneficiaries who have benefited from these services. These achievements could not have been reached without the generosity of the volunteers and the dedication of the students and Lha’s employees.
