Lha Services for Visitors

Lha is a charitable trust offering a wide range of services.

We are the only grass roots non profit organization which provides services to the whole community of Dharamsala, including - Tibetan, local Indian and visitors from around the world.

We have 30 to 40 volunteers and westerner students taking part in our courses on average a day – offering an every growing range of services and courses that all directly benefit the community.

The bustling small town of Mcleod Ganj in Dharamsala is unique.  As a major centre for the study of Buddhism and Tibetan culture, many people come to Dharamsala to experience this valuable culture firsthand, to be surrounded by Tibetan ritual, to learn, to connect with and support the refugee community and to volunteer on community projects.

Visitors come from many different countries and diverse backgrounds.  We have found that our visitors share a common eagerness to learn, and aim to make the best use of their time whilst they are here.

We recognize these aspirations and hope to share what knowledge we have to assist in communication between cultures.  Therefore, we offer courses in Tibetan language, Tibetan art and Tibetan cuisine and our cultural exchange program.  We also offer profession massage treatments, certificate massage courses and daily yoga classes – all of which have proved very popular.

Profits of all courses and services for visitors directly benefit the community by supporting ongoing projects and the operation and management of Lha:

If you are interested in any of our courses, want more detailed information, or register Now – please see our website.
